Two speeds, one standard

Tell us how fast, and we take it from there.

Same person, same checks, same tracking either way. The only thing that changes is how quickly it is in your hands.

There is a date on this

A flight, a consulate slot, a closing, a court filing.

  • We drive it to Sacramento and file it in person, same business day when the counter allows.
  • Notary included so nothing waits on a second appointment.
  • Ships the day it comes back, tracked, to wherever you are.

EMERGENCY · PER DOCUMENT

Call now

No rush, just handled

You have a few weeks and would rather not think about it.

  • Mail it to us, or have the county send the certified copy straight here.
  • Same eligibility check before any fee: the mail track rejects for the same reasons.
  • Filed and returned tracked, usually 2–4 weeks.

$180

MAIL-IN · PER DOCUMENT

How mail-in works

The route your document takes

Four stops. You are only at the first one.

Why one person, not a portal: the counter rejects documents for reasons a form never catches. Someone who has stood in that line reads yours before the fee is paid.

  1. 01day 0

    You hand it over

Drop it at 416 Bryant, mail it, book a Bay Area pickup, or have the county ship it straight to us while you stay where you are.

  2. 02within 1 business day

    We check it properly

Issuing office, signature on file, certification date, what your destination actually accepts. Problems surface here, with a fix, not at a counter.

  3. 03same day · or 5–7 by mail

    We file it in person

California documents go to the Sacramento counter by hand, same day when it allows. Federal documents are hand-carried to the Department of State by our Washington partner.

  4. 04tracking number the day it ships

    It arrives, done

Translated and legalized if needed, then tracked delivery to wherever you are, with a message the moment it ships.

The four calls we get most

One of them is probably yours.

Each one starts the same way: you tell us what you are holding and where it has to go. We tell you the price before anything starts, then it stops being your problem.

  1. 01$450

    The emergency, handled

Flight tomorrow, consulate Monday, closing that cannot move. We drive it to the Secretary of State counter and file it the same business day when the counter allows. Notary included, so nothing waits on a second appointment.

  2. 02

    You are already overseas

Have the county send the certified copy to us. We do everything on this side and ship it to your door abroad, tracked. Updates by WhatsApp if you prefer.

  3. 03

No bad news at the counter

If your document would be rejected, you hear it from us first, with the fix, before anyone takes a fee.

  4. 04

    Translation and legalization, same order

Consulates and non-Hague countries want translated, legalized sets. You give us the destination; we assemble the whole packet. Translation quoted per document by page and language before anything starts; delivered certified with a signed certificate of authenticity.

16 country guides · 1 legalization route

Where is it going?

Every destination has its own rejection reasons, translation rules and recency windows. Each guide is written from the counter, not the brochure.

  • “There were very large firms that I didn't want to go with because of service and found Dante and his company. I am so lucky I did. […] If you're looking for a boutique firm, that will handle your important documents with extra care and excellence and service, this is your place.”

DAVID J · Local Guide · filed from Greece

  • “Dante was on call for the documents being ready, even getting them from my friend after 10PM so he could get them to Sacramento first thing and expedited to Europe. They were able to get the document done and shipped within 24 hours of them being available.”

LINDLEY WINSLOW · UC Berkeley PhD

  • “The process involved multiple documents, lawyers in two countries, and a lot of bureaucratic back and forth. Dante stayed on top of everything, kept me and my lawyers updated on where things stood, and was always straight with me about timelines. […] If you need apostille services, go with Dante!”

THIS PRODUCT OR SERVICE HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED OR ENDORSED BY ANY GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY, AND THIS OFFER IS NOT BEING MADE BY AN AGENCY OF THE GOVERNMENT.

Government filing fees, currently $20 per apostille plus special handling where applicable, are set by the state and are included in or added to your quote. They are not our fee and are not refundable once paid to the agency.

Timeframes depend on the California Secretary of State, the US Department of State, county offices, couriers, and carriers. Stated timeframes are estimates, not commitments.

We prepare and file documents. Acceptance of an apostilled document by a foreign authority, consulate, or institution is outside our control and is not guaranteed.

Not sure which speed you need? Call and describe the date. International delivery quoted per destination. The $45 document check is a diagnostic service. It is credited in full toward your service if you proceed. If you do not proceed, the fee stands and the findings are yours.

What people ask before they hand it over

Questions, answered plainly.

No. A notarization is a California notary verifying your signature on a document. An apostille is a certificate issued by the California Secretary of State (or the U.S. Department of State for federal documents) that authenticates the official who signed or certified your document, so it is accepted in countries that belong to the Hague Apostille Convention. Some documents need notarization first, such as powers of attorney, affidavits and most corporate papers; certified vital records and court records go straight to the apostille step. When yours needs both, the $100 notarization add-on applies to the same-day and three-document tiers; it does not apply to the mail-in tier because most mail-in clients send documents already notarized.
